Mental Calmness® L-TEANINE 125 mg /For stress/ – for anxiety, nervous tension and weakened focus and memory
Mental Calmness® is a natural product with a natural anxiolytic effect. It is recommended during periods of intense stress to regenerate the nervous system and support cognitive functions. It contains L-theanine / L-theanine – a natural amino acid obtained through a special extraction from green tea leaves (Camellia sinensis).
How Mental Calmness® works:
→ reduces the feeling of stress and anxiety without causing dizziness and drowsiness;
→ induces relaxation and at the same time maintains cognitive functions and concentration;
→ protects neuronal tissue from glutamate excitotoxicity during chronic stress and fatigue;
→ protects the adrenal gland from exhaustion by regulating impulses along the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal signaling axis;
→ contributes to the regulation of blood pressure in hypertension;
→ reduces the stimulating effect of caffeine;
→ helps fall asleep and improve sleep quality at night.
Mental Calmness® contains over 99% pure, clinically tested L-theanine – Suntheanine®, created by the renowned Japanese company Taiyo Kagaku (www.taiyointernational.com). Suntheanine® is a patented, all-natural and safe green tea extract. Suntheanine® is used in clinical studies around the world as a standard!
Mental Calmness® is available in the form of convenient chewable tablets!
L-theanine (L-gammaglutamylamide) is one of the psychoactive components of tea (it makes up 50% of the amino acid content in tea leaves). and an important part of the meditative life philosophy of the East. It is a natural amino acid, an analogue of the proteinogenic amino acids glutamine and glutamate, which is found mainly in plants and mushrooms. It supports the function of the nervous system and can significantly reduce the feeling of stress.
Pharmacological profile of L-theanine. It is unique and characterized by several features. It is a structural analogue of the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate, which serves as a precursor in the biosynthesis of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) - the main inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system (CNS). Maintaining the “GABA-glutamate” balance is essential for the stability of nervous functions, emotional stability and resistance to stress.
L-theanine is absorbed in the small intestine, after which a part of it is hydrolyzed to L-glutamine and ethylamine, and another part passes through the blood-brain barrier and exerts its effect directly, reacting with the glutamate receptor and acting as its antagonist. The suppression of excitatory nerve impulses in the CNS leads to a general sedative effect, but because opioid, cholinergic or benzodiazepine receptors are not affected, drowsiness and a narcotic effect do not occur, and drug dependence does not develop on L-theanine.
L-theanine stimulates the generation of alpha waves. Data from electroencephalographic studies show that L-theanine significantly enhances brain activity in the alpha spectrum (8-13 Hz), which is characterized by a calm waking state, which is also a prerequisite for a smooth entry into the sleep phase after going to bed. The enhanced alpha rhythm leads to calming without drowsiness. At the same time, L-theanine suppresses beta wave activity, which is manifested during hyperactivity, scattered thoughts, nervousness and anxiety.
L-theanine also has exceptional benefits in activities requiring good focus, the ability to memorize and reproduce a large amount of information, etc. In these cases, L-theanine can support mental performance and coping with spatial and active attention-demanding tasks.
Because it increases levels of the important neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine in the striatum, hippocampus, and hypothalamus, L-theanine also has positive effects on mood.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) status to L-theanine. In Japan, it is approved for use in all foods, diet drinks, teas, and desserts.
Since L-theanine has a hypotensive effect (can lower blood pressure), its combined intake with antihypertensive drugs should be done with caution and on medical advice. Its safety during pregnancy and lactation has not been proven in clinical studies, despite the centuries-old use of green tea by these categories of consumers.
Method of administration:
Chew 2 tablets daily.
