Nutritional yeast flakes are made from the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae . Both baker's and brewer's yeast are made from them. However, in nutritional yeast, the fungi are fed molasses (sugar beet and sugar cane juice). They are subjected to high-temperature heat treatment (dried), as a result of which they become inactive, deprived of the ability to ferment.
Nutritional yeast is tastier than brewer's yeast, which has a bitter taste. It does not act as a leavening agent, unlike baker's yeast, and is not used to make baked goods, but it is much healthier.

- all 9 essential amino acids for the human body;

Nutritional yeast flakes contain no gluten, added sugar, artificial colors or preservatives.

The product should be added to the daily menu gradually and in the recommended dosage. Rapid and excessive use of dry nutritional yeast can lead to unpleasant health consequences:

- headache, migraine;
- skin redness, burning, itching.
