Description
The green-lipped mussel (Latin: Perna canaliculus ) is a bivalve mollusk belonging to the family Mytilidae. Their shells are decorated with greenish hues on the outside. They have a wedge-shaped shape and can reach up to 20 cm in length.
Green-lipped mussels inhabit the waters off the coast of New Zealand. They are considered the most ecologically clean and safe seafood to eat.
