HEPAVIV is an entirely natural product with a beneficial effect on both liver activity and the entire metabolism.
What does HEPAVIV contain?
The recommended daily dose of 8.5 grams (3 scoops) of HEPAVIV contains only ground, partially defatted organically certified seeds of Silybum marianum (Milk Thorn). This amount of the preparation contains the recommended prophylactic daily dose of 250 mg of silymarin. Silymarin is a mixture of flavonolignans (silybinin, silychristin and silydianin). Laboratory control of each batch of HEPAVIV guarantees the quality and quantity of active substances in each package.

Why is HEPAVIV different from other silymarin-containing preparations?
HEPAVIV differs significantly from other preparations in the quality of the raw material used, and in the way it is processed. The mechanical processing that we subject the biocertified White Thorn seeds to in order to make their intake easy and effective does not change their chemical composition in any way.
The extraction process and the associated aggressive organic solvents are not used in the production of Hepaviv (practically all other preparations containing silymarin are extracts). This allows us to offer our customers a product with fully preserved natural biological activity.
What is the mechanism of action of HEPAVIV?
It is a known fact that silymarin neutralizes free radicals in the body. This antioxidant effect leads to an interruption of the process of lipid peroxidation and prevents the destruction of cellular structures. Silymarin reduces the production of superoxide radicals and nitric oxides in cells and at the same time increases the production of glutathione in the liver. Glutathione is an essential element of the detoxification process carried out by liver cells. It is in the liver that toxic substances are broken down and processed into non-toxic water-soluble products, which are excreted from the cells and subsequently eliminated from the body through the kidneys.
Silymarin stimulates cell membrane functions: it inhibits the entry of toxins and blocks the target sites of toxins by changing the membrane of liver cells (hepatocytes). The described mechanism explains the liver-protective and liver-restoring effect of our preparation.
How does HEPAVIV accelerate liver cell regeneration?
The regenerative effect of HEPAVIV on liver cells (hepatocytes) is due to the stimulation of the biosynthesis of structural and functional proteins. Silymarin stimulates a specific enzyme (RNA polymerase I) in the nuclei of hepatocytes, leading to an increase in ribosomal protein synthesis and the regenerative capabilities of the liver. This mechanism of action is also of great importance in poisoning with the mushroom Amanita (green fly agaric), because poisoning with it blocks this enzyme in the cell nucleus.
What other beneficial effects does HEPAVIV have?
HEPAVIV favorably influences the composition of bile juice and has a choleretic effect. It shows an anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting inflammatory mediators. It also has a protective effect on kidney cells.
In what cases should we take HEPAVIV?
HEPAVIV has a beneficial effect on liver and bile damage in:
- steatosis, fibrosis and cirrhosis of the liver
- chronic inflammation of the liver (chronic hepatitis)
- toxic and metabolic damage to the liver (alcohol and drugs, radiation damage, etc.), for example, with prolonged use of drugs that disrupt liver function
- gallbladder dysfunction (biliary dyskinesia), cholelithiasis, chronic cholecystitis, etc.
- recovery from food poisoning, for example, poisoning with the mushroom amanita phalloida (Green Fly Agaric)
- indigestion (dyspeptic complaints), loss of appetite, etc.
How to take HEPAVIV?
The recommended dose is 3 equal measuring spoons (the spoon is inside the package), well mixed in yogurt or other cold food of similar consistency. HEPAVIV can be combined with other hepatoprotective agents.
When should we expect the effect?
The effect does not occur immediately, it requires time and accumulation. According to scientific and clinical experience, improvement occurs after 6 to 12 weeks.
How long should the intake last?
The course should last for several months. If necessary, the course can be repeated.
Are there any side effects?
HEPAVIV is a natural product and is practically harmless. Very rarely a mild laxative effect may occur. There are no contraindications and it is very well tolerated even with prolonged use.
