What is Irish moss?
The red algae Chondrus crispus, also known as Irish moss, are found in abundance on the rocky shores of the Atlantic coasts of Europe and North America. The organism also contains about 10% dry protein and about 15% minerals, among which iodine and sulfur stand out.
