Lactoferrin is a protein found in human and animal milk. Colostrum, the first milk produced after a baby is born, has a higher content of lactoferrin.

Action:
Lactoferrin helps the body better digest and absorb iron from the intestines. It has also been shown to protect against infections from bacteria, viruses, and fungi. It is believed that the lactoferrin in breast milk helps protect babies from infections.
